We were determined to drive as far as possible during daylight hours to be sure that we stayed in front of the big winter storm that was approaching from the west. With that in mind, we were up and on the road before the sun - which meant we were treated to a beautiful sunrise.

By sunset we had been in five states and traveled 700 miles. 😳

Oh - and our room had the best view!
